Dr. Maria Sarigianni is a Consultant in Internal Medicine at the Third Medical Department, Papageorgiou General Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece. Her main research interests include knowledge synthesis (systematic reviews and meta-analyses) and evidence-based practice in medicine.
Dr. Sarigianni earned her MD from Comenius University of Bratislava, Slovakia. She earned her Master of Science in Medical Research Methodology and PhD degrees from the Aristotle University Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece. In 2010 she worked for six months as research fellow in Clinical Biochemistry in Royal Free Hospital of London, UK. In 2011 she earned a post-doctoral research fellowship from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2014 she worked for six months as post-doctoral research fellow in the Knowledge and Evaluation Research Unit at Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN.
